Longtime lurker here, Been living here since 2021. Household incomes average around $82,273 in Streetsboro. With a population of 17,514, Streetsboro is a small town. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Indian places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Dallas about 15 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is excellent.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 9 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value walkability, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely hit or miss and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is excellent in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in The Heights. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
