OK so I've been here for 13 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Stromsburg sits at 25.0 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 0.9%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 1,007 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The weather is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 13 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Sunset area are solid. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Austin about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is excellent.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Happy to answer more specific questions..
