Moving to Stroud for work -advice?
Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 10.9%, which is around average. The median home value here is around $120,000, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 2,771 people. Rent is about $742/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Any advice would be great. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
