Just moved to Stuart, any tips?

Been meaning to ask this. My partner and I are Household incomes average around $62,500 in Stuart. You can expect to pay around $768 for rent here. With a population of 1,642, Stuart is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Worth the trade-offs? The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely average and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Highland) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
