Not sure if this has been asked before, but Homes are going for about $177,700 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The food scene is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely excellent and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (West) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 9 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
