Sudden Valley job market vs Orlando

You can expect to pay around $1,930 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 6,963 people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Is this normal for Sudden Valley? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 2 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I've lived in Fairview for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- The community vibe scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in East for 3 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. East schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Winters are long and cold. And housing market can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 8/10. Happy to answer more specific questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The nightlife is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, No regrets on my end..
