My family moved here when I was a kid. Household incomes average around $90,089 in Suffolk. Rent is about $1,484/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $329,600 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Worth the trade-offs? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
