Moving from Denver to Suffolk next month
Curious what people think. I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 7.7%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,484 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to.
