Planning a move to Suisun City -neighborhoods?

Hey, We're a young couple and It's a a smaller city city with about 29,205 people. With a population of 29,205, Suisun City is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $551,000 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Anyone in a similar situation? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Houston about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is challenging.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
