What Suisun City does better than anywhere else

Poverty rate is 6.4%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What would you do? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I work in retail here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is average. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in engineering. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
