Couple moving to Summerfield from out of state

First post here. Rent is about $2,032/month for a decent place. With a population of 15,635, Summerfield is a small town. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Should I be concerned? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Eastside for 2 years. Moved from Dallas for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2024 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Eastside schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Far from beaches/mountains. And job market can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 9/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
