Studio apartments in Summit -options?

Curious what people think. We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,012/month for a decent place. With a population of 10,896, Summit is a small town. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Would love some local perspective. Appreciate any input. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is average in most areas.

I've lived in Springfield for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Close to major attractions
- The community vibe scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone about the same since then.
