Hello, I've been here for 2 years and You can expect to pay around $2,308 for rent here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I work in finance here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is pretty good. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'm a writer and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is decent in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 10 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- The public transit scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..
