Anyone else love living in Summit Park?

So, The median home value here is around $1,068,300, which is pretty steep. Household incomes average around $179,516 in Summit Park. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in West for 1 years. Moved from Houston for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. West schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Winters are long and cold. And food scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 6/10. Happy to answer more specific questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in education. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The cost of living is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Dallas about 4 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is tough.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..
