Most overrated things about Summit Park

So, I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 8,545, Summit Park is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 5 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

I work in finance here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is pretty good. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Lakewood for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The healthcare scene is average

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The school system is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Miami about 12 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is improving.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The pet-friendliness scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The pet-friendliness is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
