Sumner in the winter -how bad?

OK so Just moved here 17 months ago and Homes are going for about $478,500 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 6 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

The food scene here is average. Tons of great craft beer places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The healthcare is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
