Housing market in Sun City right now

Household incomes average around $52,111 in Sun City. You can expect to pay around $1,457 for rent here. Rent is about $1,457/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Has anyone dealt with this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Denver about 13 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is tough.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
