How much do you pay for rent in Sun City?

Alright, Crime rate is something to consider -Sun City sits at 168.1 per 100K. Median household income is $52,111, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's a a smaller city city with about 38,018 people. Poverty rate is 7.1%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Easy commute
- Strong sense of community
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- High property taxes
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Not enough green space
What would you do? Any help is appreciated. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 52, moved here 7 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in Westside and Fairview, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Decent public transit for the size
2. Active local events and festivals
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally underrated - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The outdoor recreation situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Westside: Great for young professionals. decent vibes, walkable.
- Fairview: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $80K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is excellent in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from LA about 12 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is decent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..
