The good and bad of living in Sunnyside

Longtime lurker here, The median home value here is around $207,200, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 15.2%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $53,350 in Sunnyside. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Friendly people
- Nice parks and trails
- Diverse community
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Rising rent prices
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options
- Chain restaurants dominate
Has anyone dealt with this? The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up.
