Best neighborhoods to rent in Sunnyvale?

Been meaning to ask this. My partner and I are The median home value here is around $1,816,600, which is pretty steep. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from New York about 3 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for work and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The pet-friendliness is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bought a house here in 2019 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone about the same since then.
