It's a a smaller city city with about 96,633 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Sunrise sits at 197.1 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Looking forward to hearing from you all. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like Indian.
