Day-to-day life in Sunrise, FL

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Sunrise sits at 197.1 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,999 for rent here. Poverty rate is 8.3%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Friendly people
- Nice parks and trails
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Any advice would be great. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 6 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
