The good and bad of living in Sunrise

So, Been living here since 2010. Household incomes average around $72,107 in Sunrise. Median household income is $72,107, which feels about average for the area. Rent is about $1,999/month for a decent place. With a population of 96,633, Sunrise is a smaller city. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I wrong here? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from New York about 12 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is average.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Definitely worth checking out..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Cedar Grove area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 6 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
