Why I chose Sunrise over bigger cities

OK so I'm single, late 40s, and Median household income is $72,107, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Sunrise sits at 197.1 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Should I be concerned? The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great BBQ places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The housing market is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
