Raising a family in Sunrise Manor — thoughts?

I've been here for 16 years and It's a a mid-size city city with about 199K people. Average temperature is around 69°F, so the weather is moderate. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any advice would be great. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The dating scene is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 9 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
