Working remotely from Sunrise Manor — my experience

I've been working remotely from Sunrise Manor for 15 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Sunrise Manor is underrated for remote workers.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Southside and Highland Park are perfectly safe.
