Is Susanville worth it salary-wise?

Longtime lurker here, I work in retail and Median household income is $57,607, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $905 for rent here. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $905/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Thanks in advance! Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I work in manufacturing here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is tough in most areas.
