Grocery stores in Sussex -recommendations?

Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $112,031 in Sussex. The median home value here is around $384,900, which seems about average. You can expect to pay around $1,231 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 2 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into running, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Came here for weather and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community vibe is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in consulting. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
