Sutherland in the winter -how bad?

It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Raleigh it's pretty good.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in South area are challenging. Kids love it here.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Uptown for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- The traffic scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..
