First post here. I'm single, late 30s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Swampscott sits at 52.3 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
