Swampscott vs Baltimore -which is better?

Alright, I'm retired and Household incomes average around $128,964 in Swampscott. It's a a small town city with about 15,209 people. With a population of 15,209, Swampscott is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Does this match your experience? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
