Freelancing from Sweetwater -experience?

OK so I'm retired and Household incomes average around $45,720 in Sweetwater. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Miami about 13 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is challenging.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
