Sweetwater is underrated, change my mind
Hey, I'm retired and Homes are going for about $84,000 on average. You can expect to pay around $862 for rent here. With a population of 10,484, Sweetwater is a small town. The median home value here is around $84,000, which is actually reasonable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Great weather
- Easy commute
- Good internet infrastructure
- Plenty of shopping options
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Lack of diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homelessness issues downtown
Any advice would be great. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to.
