Moving from Portland to Swifton next month

So, You can expect to pay around $531 for rent here. Poverty rate is 26.6%, which is higher than I expected. The unemployment rate is 7.2%, which is concerning. The median home value here is around $73,500, which is actually reasonable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Let me know your thoughts. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong job market in several industries
- The walkability scene is tough

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
