Living in Swoyersville -the reality

Hey folks, We're a young couple and You can expect to pay around $733 for rent here. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Swoyersville sits at 119.6 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from New York about 4 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
