Is Syracuse good for remote workers?

Alright, I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $45,845 in Syracuse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation? Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for retirement and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
