Anyone else feel this way? I'm a 35-year-old teacher and The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. You can expect to pay around $998 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 4 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
