Biggest downsides of living in Tacoma?
Anyone else feel this way? Has anyone dealt with this? It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Definitely worth checking out..
