Alright, I work in hospitality and The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,597/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in government. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.
