Considering Tallahassee vs Cleveland — help me decide
Hi all, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and You can expect to pay around $1,238 for rent here. Homes are going for about $276,000 on average. It's a a mid-size city city with about 200K people. Rent is about $1,238/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I wrong here? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I work in hospitality here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is pretty good. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.
I've been here 5 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Came here for family and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor recreation is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
