What I wish I knew before living in Tallahassee

Hey everyone, With a population of 200K, Tallahassee is a mid-size city. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Anyone in a similar situation? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've lived in Uptown for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The weather scene is solid

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..
