I'm a remote worker and It's a a smaller city city with about 71,887 people. Household incomes average around $59,216 in Tamarac. With a population of 71,887, Tamarac is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $259,100, which seems about average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 12 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a marketing manager and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is improving.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.
