Rent vs buy in Tamarac -what makes sense?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $259,100, which seems about average. Poverty rate is 11.3%, which is around average. Rent is about $1,791/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
