Curious what people think. We're a young couple and It's a a smaller city city with about 51,201 people. With a population of 51,201, Tamiami is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $451,400 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Does this match your experience? Appreciate any input. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Springfield. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Highland) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The cost of living is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..
