Planning a move to Tamiami -neighborhoods?

We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. Household incomes average around $78,916 in Tamiami. It's a a smaller city city with about 51,201 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely average and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Highland) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I work in real estate here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is decent. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
