Unpopular opinion about Tamiami

OK so I'm retired and Median household income is $78,916, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Tamiami sits at 231.7 per 100K. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I wrong here?

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The cost of living is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
