Things Tampa needs to improve

OK so Household incomes average around $71,302 in Tampa. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Houston about 12 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
