Not sure if this has been asked before, but It's a a small town city with about 7,295 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Worth the trade-offs? TIA! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value weather, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely pretty good and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great craft beer places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Springfield area are decent. Kids love it here.
