Tarpon Springs job market vs Las Vegas

My partner and I are Median household income is $68,877, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 25,522, Tarpon Springs is a smaller city. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Tarpon Springs? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Nashville about 7 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is decent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Feel free to reach out with questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
