Planning a move to Tarrant -neighborhoods?

Hi all, Rent is about $838/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. Poverty rate is 26.6%, which is higher than I expected. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to San Francisco it's solid.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- The community vibe scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..
